Knitting: Corrugated Ribbing

Corrugated Ribbing is a colorwork ribbing technique that combines knit and purl stitches in two or more colors — creating a beautiful, textured, striped rib pattern often seen in Fair Isle or stranded knitting.

It looks like vertical stripes of color (made by the knit stitches) with contrasting purl columns in another color.
